How to get a footer like the one on this page?

Hello, I love the theme (tried many paid and free) before this one. But one question: how can I get a footer on my theme like the one on this page? Footer widgets as I put in aren't what I want. (see http://www.effectivechurchcom.com) I want one that is the dark background like here and that goes across the whole width of the screen. Can I do this or do I need to hire customization?
