How to display text content in the top of table cells?

I changed the theme on my site yesterday, and I´m very satisfied so far! But I have a problem. On my website I have many tables, to show for example discography and videos. After the theme change, the text content of these tables is displayed at the bottom of the table cells, not at the top of the cell as before! It makes no difference if I use a "top" tag in the code.
