How To – Display Featured Image On Blog Post

When I set a featured image on a blog post it shows up on the page that displays all the posts, along with an excerpt. But when you click on the post to view it on full page, you do not see the featured imaged. I have looked in theme instructions, but can't find an answer. Any assistance appreciated.
