How to add excerpt to a page?

Hi there, I am using Chique Pro for my site and on this particular page http://www.alannamax.co.uk/lulus-first-day/ I add "More" from the layout tools to the bottom of the page which is supposed to create show the content before the line in excerpt but it doesn't function. Do I need to do anything else to activate it , please? Best wishes Fay
