Home Slider separate from posts

Hi Sakin, I don't understand how the home slider works. I just want to have 2 or 3 separate photos there, and not have it tied to a post. I followed the directions you gave in a previous topic, but my result is I have the slider and the below posts with same image and info. It's duplicated. How can I accomplish separate images?
