hide site made with Catch Everest Theme

I would like to hide the website I have created using a Catch Everest theme. I do not want to delete the site --just hide it and am told I need a code to to that. I would like to know if there is a code to hide a Catch Everest themed site. The hosting company I use says I need to go to the htaccess file and put in a code to hide the site.
