HELP! Slider & Featured images / white space /uneven

This is my website: http://bemindfulyourecreative.com/ 1) I cant seem to figure out why the boxes under the "featured slider" are offset. 2) this same problem occurs in the featured content as well. 3) lastly, is there a way to fix the "white space" that you see around the featured grid? in the demo, there aren't any borders/white space.
