Header gap after scroll down then up

www.adeptvisuals.com On my site, when I scroll down then back up there ends up being a space between the background image and the header. I would like that to not happen. Is there a way to fix that? Second- If you go to my site, you'll wee it load with some animated text and a logo. There is a large gap between the top of the text and the header when it loads. Is there a way to have the top of the text close to the bottom of the header? THanks!
