full-width header

Purchased Catch Kathmandu Pro especially for the "full width" option but can't get it to work. "No Sidebar, Full Width" is the default layout and page layouts are "No sidebar" ... but I've tried all the options without the desired result. http://catchthemes.com/support-forum/ has exactly the layout we want: full-width color bars for the header and footer & content set to 1280px. Thanks.
