front page Slider issue

website url: www.indiantreat.com   Home page / front page slider by default the slider has a red background, which i replaced with a white background, but when i use a background the slider image moves to extreme left and text to extreme right, only half the slider image is visible on the screen. If i remove background image, the slider image comes back to normal position, but the slider background looks transparent (greyish color) and not the white background. This is effecting only on the slider section. on other sections white background is seen. In between reservation form section on front page and the latest blog update section, i  see a Text, which i am unable to remove. Please help.
