Footer Widget Spacing

Hello, I am having trouble with the widget spacing in my footer. When I have three widgets (one in each section) the footer looks to be split into four columns. If I use two widgets, it splits into three columns. If I use one, it splits into two columns. Is there a way to remedy this so that one widget = one column, 2:2, 3:3?
