Footer Size

This should be easy and I'm amazed that my surches haven't found the solution but I haven't. The footer height its very large. Looks to be 50-100 pizels and I only have one line of type (copyright). Is there a way to reduce it? I have noting in the footer widgets. I don't see a size option it the style.css. I haven't found anything is the theme customize section. Has anyone run into this before and resolved it? Thank you Bruce
