Footer not showing

I am not sure why but my footer with the powered by and such is not showing. I have it checked on the basic 'customize' interface and I have also added text and such to the footer widgets and still nothing. Please help...I am relatively new at this theme and have only worked with one other theme. This theme seems a little less manipulable...if that is a word.
