Footer Credit, Slider, and Comment Questions

So I was wondering if there was a way to remove the Powered by :Wordpress and Theme: Catch Evolution from my footer? Next Question is there anyway that the slider could just show say images that I want shown, no posting, just a random couple images? Last question is how do I remove the comment/reply box on pages? I only want the chance for users to comment on my blog postings but not on my other pages which are just information pages or photo pages.
