First Post, Hello!

Hi guys, First post on these support forums, so be gentle! My immediate problem is getting all (or some) of these features to appear on the homepage. At present, I'm writing a homepage title and description, and whenever I activate all of the effects, my homepage description and title are being pushed further and further down the page. Is there a tutorial or something to explain how this all works, as the documentation only explains how each individual features work, NOT how to get things all lined up in a page? Thanks in advance!
