Featured slider height keeps changing

On mobile devices, the height of the featured slideshow (at the top of the homepage) keeps changing as the slide contents change. The consequence of this is that the rest of the page keeps shifting up and down as you are trying to read it. This happens on the demo site. Is there anyway that this can be avoided? Many thanks.
