Featured Post Slider

My website is amanofreason.com. I have recently started exploring the featured post slider and I have ran into some issues. First, what is the size of the post slider so I can crop my images to better fit the slider. Also, on my website, is their any way to get the bolded word Home above the post slider. Lastly, is there any way to move the post slider so I can have other content above or below it.
