Featured Post Slider dissappeared

Just created this site and followed the directions to add featured images to my posts, caught the ID number so I could go into theme options and that number to slider.  This worked find and all of a sudden it disappeared when I changed the picture to something else (I did change the ID in the slider to match).  Now that I try to go back and use the old image, it still won't work.  I have to go into my hostgator account, delete the wordpress account, reinstall, and add back in simple catch to get that slider back.  Once again, adding a picture using the method above....dissapears again after a couple of seconds.
