Featured Post in place of Featured Content

Hi there, I have been trying out the Catch Everest free and I am very pleased with it! Now before I buy the Pro Version and go online with my site, I would like to make sure that it is possible to feature Posts instead of Content on the Frontpage (in the Grid Layout). Is it what the Widget CE Featured Post of the Pro Version is enabling? Thank you for your answer and your great theme :) Emla
