Featured Post Grid plugin & Simple Catch Pro

Hello, I have installed the Featured Posts Grid plugin for Wordpress. To make this plugin work, I have to place a few lines of php code to my "desired template location". But how do I add this code to my Simple Catch Pro theme, without losing it after theme updates?
