Featured content on front page – can't change it?

Using the free version. I've got my head around most of it BUT... Where it has the 4 pictures (and decriptions) - pics Mountain Risk Caution, Rhino Nepal National Park etc I want to either: 1. Change the photos . text and links to material on my own page; or (if that's not possible in the free version) 2. Disable that section of the page entirely. Please help !
