Featured content in a static homepage

Hello, Here is my website : http://www.association-ouralpes.com/test/ I would like to put my featured posts as featured content instead of the demo featured content. But if I go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content Options => Featured Content Settings” and change the option "demo featured content" by "page featured content", nothing appears in the homepage featured content. I know that it could be because I've chosen a static homepage. But how can I change this and make my featured posts appear in the featured content? Thank you.
