featured content from the posts

Hello team, I like the jomsom theme, and would like to use it for a blog with posts. My question is there a way to get the featured content from the posts in stead from the pages. I would be nice to get the featured images from the post in a 4 colom slide show under the header. here the link from the website http://blog.praxis-petra-weber.de/ greetings Marga
