Feature silder space problem

i there, I have problems in customizing your theme, www.jplconseil.fr 1) How can I move up the Feature slider at HOME page (in order to make the space less in between the header logo bar and the slider? I have tried, but the white part "cover the slider... I have set the z-index of slider as 999, it doesn't work...) 2) How can I delete the space at the HOME page in between my twitter bar and footer? (or just move up the footer only for HOME page? coz I have tried to shorten #content.col8, but it makes other pages footers crumbles... I only want the HOME page footer up, in order for ipad view...)
