Fav Icon Won't Upload

Hello, I am trying to upload a fav icon in the Design Settings window. I can upload my .ico file fine into my Media Library, but when I click the "Insert into Post" button, the Upload window closes right away without letting me save my changes and the fav icon doesn't upload. Any ideas for what to do? Is this a wp issue or a theme issue?
