Excerpt Options

Is it possible to not show the excerpt in the featured slider section but show it in the blog posts? How do I change the call to action button, "Learn more..." in the slider to "Listen to Radio Episode" but leave the call to action (Learn more...) in the blog section the same ? My site is jamesmillerlifeology.com I have it currently set to my previous theme until I understand your new theme better (Fabulously Fluid Pro). thanks for your help.
