Editing Front page

When I go to my site travel.halfnote2.com I see a good start on what I'm after. But when I go under dashboard and go to pages to begin to modify it there is no such creature called front page or home page etc. There is a privacy policy page and a sample page page only. I'm totally lost as what to do next. There is a Hello world post under posts. None of these are the page I see when I got to the website. I've been messing around with word press for many years but consider myself still a novice yet but this has me totally baffled. Hope you can help
