Editing Featured Content in Customiser doesn't work

Hi, When i edit the Featured Content image, title and description in the WP Customiser window, the changes are not reflected on the site. If I go into Appearance > Theme Options and make the changes again, it works and I can go back into WP Customiser and the settings have been pulled back across. I am working on a localhost so not sure yet if this may be causing the problem. I am a WP trainer and use this theme during my classes. :)
