Disable footer area in posts?

On my homepage (Front page) I have a few widgets in the footer area, like this: http://helensjoholm.nu/_eng/ Is it possible to disable the footer area in my posts, and show all the widgets in the sidebar instead? (To show the footer area only on the front page?)
