Custom Header Size

Hello! I'm wondering how can I edit the code of the theme to allow for a square logo to be shown in the header? I would like it to the bigger than the custom Adventurous logo and whenever I try to upload a custom image, it makes me resize it to a wide & narrow dimension rather than the 150x150 px I am trying to use.
