CSS/HTML for Text widget not working

Hi, Great template. I am enjoying using it. I currently have an image of our contact info in the header widget, but wanted to make it text. I tried to input the details with html tags and it will not take. Is there a way to have custom text in the text widget. Also, is there a way to upload my own text?
