Content Options – categories, author, next/before column issue

Hello, I have the verity pro theme. On my blog posts the categories, tags, author and previous post/next post buttons show at the bottom. If I uncheck the option to hide the author, or categories and tags, the boxes remain on the page with nothing inside - which looks awkward. Also, instead of being three columns side by side, they are three rows that lie on top of eachother. I like the way the columns side-by-side looks in the demo and I can't figure out why mine is different. Any advice? Thanks! website: redheadedbelle.com
