content area customization

Hello and thank for the great theme! I am trying to customize the content area for my website: www.sfwconstruction.com i would like to have the text on each of my pages (siding, painting, etc.) display closer to the edge of the white area. i would also like to get rid of the margin below the menu bar and make the pages look more like the home page. any thoughts on that? sorry i messed with the original css file. I read replies about not doing that after the fact! also wondering, is there a way to use the featured image slider from the home page for each page of my website (using it to display different featured images)? thanks again!
