Confused?

I just bought the catch inspire pro theme and am confused on how to install it. I followed the directions in the readme.txt included in the downloaded folder, yet when I am customizing my theme in wordpress, I still have the option to "upgrade to pro" and nothing is different than the free version of the theme. Was I just scammed? Very confused.
