Comments On Pages remain, after I remove them.

I bought the Pro theme expecting to be able to turn comments off. I disabled all comments in Comment Options under Theme Options. I made sure all discussion options were unticked, I also check for plugins that could be causing the problem and disabled all of them. But the comments are still appearing under pages. I then removed the pages and binned them. I recreated them and the comment box is still there. What can I do to fix this problem.
