Changes in settings I make wont save? ( Catch Flames ( Free)

Hi, hoping you can help. Any settings I make in the theme options/customizer won't save and just keep reverting back to there default settings? This is for all settings. I am especially struggling to get the featured page slider to display the featured images I have set (on each page) these keep re-setting to the default slider demo images? I have been through all the forum answers previously posted but this hasn't helped I'm afraid. I have disabled "ALL" the plugins but the problem still exists. I have spent hours going through all the settings etc, I even uninstalled and then reinstalled the theme but this still did not fix it. I am happy to grant you access to the back end of the site if this would make investigating the issue easier. Have you come across this before what do you suggest I can do, it's a clients website and so I need to sort it out as quickly as possible. I think it happened after a recent possibly update to the theme. Your help with this issue would be most appreciated. We really love the theme and look forward to using its features.
