Change Excerpt/Content font size in CSS?

I have created a child theme and copied the "Typography" css from the parent theme into the child theme, however when I try to update any font sizes nothing changes. What does the code look like to change the font size in the excerpt or content text in "hero content" and other "layout option" content? Thank you, for any help is much appreciated!
