Change landing page from latests posts to static page

Hi: I’ve been sending my traffic to my latests posts since I installed this theme. Now I’m considering sending it to a static page similar to the one that you present in your demo. 1. How would I go about it? 2. Is there any way that I could prepare this page in the background and switch from one to the other when I have it ready?
