Catagorize Posts Under Pages

I am having a little trouble with getting this theme to file my posts under the pages I have. For example, if I post a recipe that features chicken, how would I get that post to also automatically file itself under the page "BIRDS"? I would want it to remain on the main blog page, but also file. Is that possible? Thanks so much for your time and input.
