Can't get rid of right margin on page main content.

I am quite new to Wordpress so I still don't really know how to use it properly. So basically on the simple catch theme, on the home page I applied a background colour to the main content. And I removed the margin on the Custom CSS area along with padding. However, the right margin still shows and I want to get rid of it. How can I remove the margin?
