Can testimonials be included in a Catch Flames (free) site?

I was looking at the Catch Solid Construction theme, but the style of the Flames theme appeals more in regard to the visuals and intended use. Looking at the settings in Solid Construction demo I see that the testimonials are implemented via the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/essential-content-types/ which in theory will work with any theme. So can it be implemented in the same way in the Catch Flames (Free) theme? I'd like to build the site in the free version but am definitely looking at possibly purchasing the pro version subsequently, if it looks largely as I want in the free version. (As an aside where can I find the free vs pro version features comparison please?) I already bought a couple of Catch Pro themes for other sites too.
