Blog page title

The page title showing in my blog reads simply, "Blog:". How do I get it to actually display the page title? I've tried several different snippets and custom CSS such as the one found at https://wpscholar.com/blog/get-title-for-posts-page-in-wordpress/ but none of them work. There must be a way to display the actual name of the page instead of just Blog: Thanks
