Adventurous Footer

In trying to update the footer in the theme I am struggling. I could not seem to get to change what I had previously added to the left-hand footer (with your theme name still on the right). I then added a footer widget which has now added a second footer strip in addition. I then removed the text from this but the strip is still there. How can I change the footer text on the left? www.dufour.org.uk Thanks
