Adsense and comments

Hello, I'm starting to use the theme, Catch Evolution. From what I'm seeing on my end it says the comments are enabled but then on the blog that I made it says the comments are disabled is there any suggestions on how to fix this? Also I'm trying to add AdSense ads to the right-hand side bar and it says that I'm supposed to add the code in between the header tags and I am unable to do that on my end. Any suggestions?
