Adjusting gaps at top of page and removing search box

Hello, I have the Catch Responsive Pro theme and like it very much. Is there a way to reduce the gap between the page header and the slider, and also between the slider and the featured content sections? Also, is there a way to remove the "Search" widget from the page header? There is already a search widget in the menu bar. Thanks!
