adding a post slider

Hi, I would like to add a slider with feature images of my favourite posts. I don't see such an option in the theme (except for the Featured Content, but this feature seems to use only pages as opposed to posts). I downloaded Advanced Post Slider plugin, but I don't know how to activate it in your theme. Can you please let me know if there is an easy way to add a slider to this theme and where can I place it?
