Adding a full width header image per page

Hi I am wanting to add a full width header image for each of my Pages. This is to be the same height and width as the slider image on the Homepage. I want to add it to all Pages except the Homepage. I have tried: 1) adding code per Page, which doesn't do anything 2) making a new template, which works to a certain extent but is with the Content wrap so is restricted to the margins set within this. 3) Adding the div within the header, which gives me exactly what I want except it is on the Homepage too, which I don't want. I also want the ability to change each header image so I wanted to set the div to read from the featured image set per page. Is there any way to do this please as I am going around in circles a little here. Many thanks
