Add Widget Area To Header

Hi, we are developing a website using Fotografie Pro which can be seen here: https://sandbox.woodquist.co.uk/acproperty/ what I would like to be able to do is to add a widget area in the header, directly below the main menu. I am comfortable creating a child theme. Is this possible? many thanks Matt
