Add text in featured slider photo's

Hi, the featured slider option I'm using in Simple Catch works very good, but I was wondering if it's possible to add text into the slider/into the pictures. I have seen this in some plugins, but because these also change the design of my homepage I was wondering if there is an alternative (except for editing the pictures, add text and upload them again). Thanks in advance!
