Add Media Button stopped functioning, pictures disappeared from site

Hello, I recently installed Simple Catch in Wordpress and LOVED it. Then the ADD MEDIA button stopped working, and then all photos disappeared from site. My investigations took me to a THEME problem as other themes allowed both of these functions. My site now has a few uploaded photos not properly formatted because they were put up while using a different theme. I have tried several suggested fixes to no avail.
